Led by Deaconess Violet (Head of Department) and Assistant Minister Christina Tanimola
About Us
Our Vision
The Prayer Department — also known as the Prayer Band or Intercessory Department — serves as the spiritual powerhouse of RCCG Grace Assembly Dinnington, raising intercessors and sustaining the ministry through continuous, fervent prayer. The department mobilises believers to engage in effective prayer, spiritual warfare, and deep communion with God.
Our Purpose
Our Mandate
The Prayer Department exists to mobilise believers for effective prayer and intercession, to stand as watchmen over the church, families, and the wider community, and to cultivate spiritual growth through prayer, fasting, and intercessory gatherings. The department also provides spiritual covering for every ministry and activity within the church. Rooted in Scriptures such as James 5:16 and Ezekiel 22:30, prayer remains the engine that drives the church's spiritual strength and impact.
Looking Ahead
Our Vision & Assignment
Our assignment is to raise disciplined intercessors, strengthen the church spiritually, equip believers to grow in their prayer life, and stand in the gap for the church, the city of Sheffield, and the nations. The Prayer Department aligns with the global vision of RCCG Worldwide — to make heaven, and to take as many people as possible along — by ensuring the church remains spiritually alert, empowered, and connected to God.
Our Leaders
Leadership & Impact
Under the guidance of Deaconess Violet and Assistant Minister Christina Tanimola, the department continues to grow in unity, strength, and spiritual influence. Through prayer vigils, intercessory meetings, fasting programmes, and special prayer sessions, many lives have been transformed and strengthened.
A House of Prayer
The Prayer Department remains a place where believers develop deeper intimacy with God, grow in spiritual maturity, and become powerful intercessors who stand boldly for the Kingdom.
