Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Everyone is going somewhere, the question is not whether you are moving, the question is who is directing that movement? Some people are being led by fear, and some by faith. A lot of people, all their movements is about money, others are just led by emotions all the time. Some are being controlled by friends and many follows the societal trends, and a lot are ready to die for their ambitions. But as believers, there should be one ultimate Director of our lives, God. LET GOD LEAD. There is a difference between having a plan and allowing God to direct your plan. The Bible does not say we should not have plans. Proverbs 16 vs 9 says: "A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps."

Yes, you can make plans, but you must allow God to direct your steps. You can have a dream, but allow God to determine the direction. You can have ambition, but allow God to determine the timing. You can have a destination in mind, but allow God to choose the route for you. Let God lead. That's the point.

GOD KNOWS THE WAY BETTER THAN YOU DO

Proverbs 3 vs 5 said, "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." One of the greatest challenges of Christians is that we often want God to explain everything before we obey Him. We often say, Lord, show me everything first, then I will obey. But God says "Obey first, and I will show you the next step." Abraham was a perfect example to us in Genesis 12 vs 1, God said to him, "Get out of your country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, to a land that I will show you." Notice something very important here, God did not tell Abraham his final destination or how to get there. He just said, "Go…to a land that I will show you." Abraham had to move before he had all the answers. That's faith. Sometimes you are asking God, "Where am I going?" And God is saying, Just take the next step. You may not know what next year will look like. You may not know how the situation will work out. You may not understand why God closed one door. But you can trust the One who knows the end from the beginning. Let God lead.

Isaiah 46 vs 10 declares that God knows the end from the beginning. Please help me say to the person beside you, "Trust God. He knows the way."

GOD'S DIRECTION IS BETTER THAN ANY HUMAN WISDOM

1 Corinthians 1 vs 25 said, "Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men and the weakness of God is stronger than men." There are times when God's instruction will not make sense to your natural mind, for example, God told Noah to build an ark when there was no flood. Imagine what people must have thought, or Noah could have said, God, this doesn't make sense. But Noah obeyed. Hebrews 11 vs 7 says "By faith, Noah… prepared an ark to the saving of his house." Noah's obedience looked foolish to people, but it saved his family. Sometimes God will tell you to forgive when you feel justified.

God may tell you to wait when everyone else is moving. God may tell you to give when you think you don't have enough. God may tell you to leave something that looks attractive. God may tell you to step into something that looks impossible. The question is not "Does it make sense?" The question is "Did God say it?"

DON'T LET PEOPLE BECOME THE DIRECTOR OF YOUR LIFE

Yes, People are important in your life, but people are not God. You can listen to advices without surrendering your destiny to people's opinions. If your greatest goal is pleasing everybody, you will eventually disobey God.

LEARN TO RECOGNISE GOD'S VOICE

John 10 vs 27 Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me." God wants His children to recognise His voice. But you cannot recognise a voice you never spend time listening to…

NOT EVERY OPEN DOOR IS FROM GOD

This is very important, we often say, if the door are open, so it must be God, but not necessarily. Sometimes the enemy can present an attractive opportunity, Sometimes our own desires can create opportunities, often that open door can lead to destruction.

GOD CAN USE CLOSED DOORS TO PROTECT YOU

Never cry too long over a door God closed, you may not know what God was protecting you from.

DON'T RUN AHEAD OF GOD

One of the biggest dangers in life is impatience. We want everything immediately, but God's timing is perfect.

WAITING DOES NOT MEAN GOD HAS FORGOTTEN YOU

Isaiah 40 vs 31 says, "But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." Please don't disrupt your waiting season, God may be working on: Your character. Your faith. Your patience. Your wisdom. Your maturity. Your capacity. The promise may be ready, but God may be preparing you for the promise. Let God lead.

WHEN GOD LEADS, YOU MUST OBEY

Hearing God is not enough, we must obey Him. James 1 vs 22 said, "Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." Sometimes we already know what God wants us to do, but we are simply waiting for another confirmation because we don't like the instruction that God gave us. For example, when God says to forgive, but your response is but they hurt me. And when God says to give, you say, "But I need the money." Obedience means, even when you don't understand, you still trust Him.

JESUS IS OUR PERFECT EXAMPLE

In Gethsemane, Jesus prayed, in Luke 22 vs 42, He said, "Nevertheless not my will, but thine be done." This should be the prayer of every believer, and not God, bless whatever I decide. But God, help me decide according to Your will. Sometimes we make the decision and ask God to bless it. As a true child of God we should say Lord, make the decision, and I will follow. We are to let God lead.

THERE ARE THREE QUESTIONS WE SHOULD ASK BEFORE MAKING ANY MAJOR DECISIONS IN OUR LIVES

Does this agree with God's word? Have I prayed about it? Do I have peace of God in my mind?

Colossians 3 vs 15 says "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts."
